Anawim Emergency Housing Intake Service
|

Anawim Emergency Housing Intake Service has six crisis beds for emergency housing and 3 crisis beds located in an off-site property. The service is for sole Aboriginal women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness due to family violence or other life crisis, and is short term. Daily pro-active links occur with the co-located Anawim Community Centre to enable all women to have access to a range of supports to respond to their housing and other support needs. Community Centre workers help women stabilise their housing if they are at risk of homelessness- or to get women re-housed as quickly as possible with the right supports, to reduce the impact of homelessness on the quality of their life.
Who can use the Anawim Emergency Housing Intake Service?
