Ruah Intensive Health provides community-based assertive case management to people living with HIV/AIDS. The team works to a customised bio-psychosocial model, offering relationship-based, developmental support from a holistic and client-centred perspective.

Who does Ruah Intensive Health assist?
The Ruah Health Support team works alongside people living with HIV/AIDS who are experiencing chaotic lifestyle factors that impact on their health and wellbeing.
Such factors may include:
Issues with HIV treatment and medication
Homelessness or risk to accommodation
Problematic substance use
Mental Health issues (which may be undiagnosed or untreated)
Difficulty accessing or maintaining contact with support services
Marginalised/disadvantaged circumstances
Complex and difficult behaviours
Situations where people are being harmed
What does Ruah Intensive Health Offer?
Through professional case management, the team can assist with medical matters such as HIV medication, mental health, sexual health or any other health concerns.
The team is also able to offer support in other areas, including housing, finances and legal issues as well as with personal matters such as drug and alcohol use, family or relationship problems and issues around sexuality and safe sexual practice.

How to access Ruah Intensive Health
Many people have benefited from health support services. Individuals may self-refer or be referred by somebody else. All referrals will be considered.
