Ruah Tenancy Support is a free service that supports families and individuals to make a successful transition from homelessness to independent private, community or public rental housing in the Perth metropolitan region.

Who does Ruah Tenancy Support - Perth Metro assist?
The service supports families / individuals in the community who have been referred by the Homeless Advisory Service (Department of Housing and Works) as part of the Supported Housing Assistance Program. It is a free service for families or individuals who are moving from a period of unstable housing/ homelessness to a new private rental, community or public housing in the Perth metro area and who;
Have a history of homelessness/ tenancy management concerns in both the private and/or public housing areas
Seek support to make a successful transition into their new home and community
Are not normally eligible for further bond/ moving in costs assistance from Homeswest due to tenant liability/ outstanding debts with the Department of Housing and Works
The Homeless Advisory Service assists with moving in costs and bond whilst Ruah provides support to manage a successful move into long term private rental.
What does Ruah Tenancy Support Offer?
Ruah Tenancy Support Perth Metro works in partnership with tenants and their Property Manager/ Landlord for a minimum three month period to ensure the new tenancy is strong and stable, and the tenants feel confident that they are not at risk of becoming homeless again.
Individuals and families who access Ruah Tenancy Support are allocated a Tenancy Support Worker who will meet them in their own home on a weekly basis, or as required. The Tenancy Support Worker will discuss the short and longer term individual needs of the household members, and plan how to work together to achieve the following goals;
Make the new tenancy a home, and establish a sense of connection with the local community
Increase skills and knowledge to maintain a home long term
Develop links to community resources and services that can address underlying life concerns that led to homelessness
