Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP)
What is WRAP?
WRAP is a program designed by Mary Ellen Copeland to help people living with mental illness to manage their lives more effectively by monitoring distressing symptoms, and through planning, reducing or removing those symptoms. It is based on the lived experience of people with mental illness and designed to be run by them. Facilitators are trained and supervised by a Ruah Inreach Coordinator. WRAP is normally conducted in groups, however, one to one WRAP programs are available to people who are unable to attend a group.

Who does WRAP assist?
People recovering from mental illness are the primary focus of this group program.
Where is WRAP held?
WRAP programs may be held in any metropolitan area, depending on the service requesting it.
How to access WRAP
No formal referrals are required for the group programs; however, WRAP facilitators may request some basic information from participants. A referral form is available from the Group Program Coordinator for the one to one program. When the referral is processed the WRAP Coordinator will arrange for a facilitator to meet the person referred.
